Meet Transwest Helicopters

Tell us a bit about your business. What’s your specialty? Where are you located? How long have you been in business?

Transwest Helicopters is an MRO and operations facility recognized internationally by Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), United States FAA, Republic of Korea Ministry of Lands, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). We own and operate a Bell 412 EP helicopter which is used mainly for utility and fire fighting operations.

Transwest Helicopters has been in business since 1965, originally based in Vancouver BC, Canada. We relocated to Oliver Airport in the sunny Okanagan in 2010 and haven’t looked back. We are world leaders in Bell Medium and Legacy helicopters with extensive expertise including 204, 205, 212, 214B, 214ST and 412 Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul. We also offer complete helicopter rebuild and refurbishments, Engine and Component Repair and Overhaul, Avionics, Structural Repair, and Painting. We also design and certify reliable and safe modification solutions that are cost efficient and increase operational capability.

What are some of your favorite Rotabull features and why?

Our sales team’s favourite features would have to be the Smartquote and Saved Snippets. The ability to quickly access quoting history (pricing, certification, & quote statements) as well as stock information is a huge time saver! We also love that is pulls all our RFQs into one place rather than having to sort through various outlets to find and process our quotes.  

How has Rotabull improved your sales process?

Rotabull has made our quoting processes so much more efficient. It has saved us hours on data entry and research. We are able to send out professional looking quotes in half the time without having to enter all the information in our system or retype it all into an email.

Transwest has recently received FAA approval for our R/H Pilot seat modification and we're revamping our Vertical Reference Door STC which is also awaiting FAA approval.

Fun fact about Transwest: We recently added up the total years of experience our management team has and it equals a whopping 185 years!
